A Japanese cultivar introduced by the author to Europe in the early 1980's. A good free flowering plant of a compact nature, ideal for container culture. The 15cm (6in) wide flowers have purplish pink tepals which are darker at the margins. The tepals overlap, making a full flower. Contrasting compact yellow anthers, with a prominent style. Attractive seed heads.
